Preface by Burk Uzzle All of these photographs share a common effort by their subjects to transcend their normal lives. They use their bikes to say "I am special." Certain aspects of the bikes - Romance, Power, Machismo, Freedom and Beauty - give their owners special qualities. Joined together by their common needs and realizations, the bikers have formed a subculture which is intense, daunting and poetic. |
