[ ADD COMMENT ] i live in this yuppie town in south india, and irinically it is here that the only hospice/rehab for the HIV infected exists. run by a few friends of mine, who are also deaddiction counsellors, this center needs funds desperately. it could also do with any kind of involvement, interest. most of the patients are poor, and since they have no place to go, their families dont accept them anymore, and since the center cannot turn them away, they are taken in free, putting a silent yet heavy burden on the center, financially and manpower wise. |
